The Secret History

The Secret History is written by Donna Tartt. Although this book is not an original classic it had classical features within to help consider this one. This book shows the ins and outs of a group of college kids studying the arts and ways of the ancient Greeks.

This book was a big one. It had so much story with so much detail making it one of the best books I have ever read. Though it took me a long time to read, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Throughout the book I got to learn about these fictional characters with odd quirks and unusual behaviors and eventually got to fall in love with the story and writing style. There were days where I would read 200 pages non-stop and others where I knew I didn't have the time to get deeply involved in the story. This book is not for the weak but I am so glad I got to read it. The ideas and actions throughout the book inspired me to learn new things and work for what I want. The story had a deep underlying message making me sad that there is not a sequel.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a physchological type thriller. It will definitely mess with your head but in the best way possible. I rate this a 10/10 and I'm not being dramatic about this one!

You can find this on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and local bookstores!
